Three orphans sell pets to pay for Mum's funeral
TRAGIC: Jayne's children want to give their mum the funeral she deserves
By David Pilditch
THREE orphaned teenagers are selling everything they own including the family pets to raise enough money to give their mother a dignified funeral.
Days after Jayne McCourt, 51, died suddenly in her sleep her children Troy, 17, Rory, 15, and Alice, 14, are auctioning all their possessions to raise 2,500 for a cremation service.
They will be left with nothing but memories and photographs of their life with Jayne and their father Brian, who died two years ago of stomach cancer, aged 56.
Troy, who quit school after their father died to become his mothers full-time carer, said: As a family we dont have much. But all we do have must go. They are just belongings they dont matter. We just want our mum to get the funeral she deserves.
We cant face mum having a paupers funeral. Were not asking for a lavish affair but she deserves a few flowers and a nice send-off.
The kids are still in shock whilst having to sell off their life.

The youngsters have so far raised 525 by selling their beloved spaniels Peggy, Minnie and Sammy for which they got a total of 250 and some furniture from their council house in Whittlesey, Cambs.
They are now living in Derby shire with aunts Yasmien Green, 47, and Joanne Cumbridge, 44, who have cobbled together 500 from their savings.
The children hope to make up the 1,475 shortfall by selling their Xbox games console and any remaining furniture beds, a table and cupboards along with ornaments and pots and pans.
If arrangements are not made within 14 days of a persons death, they are given a council burial
