Goodbye to the old twenty pound note

The 30th June 2010 is the last day for the old English twenty pound note to be used as legal tender.

The old note is a lighter colour to that of the darker new note, the old note has a picture of Sir Edward Elgar on the back of it whereas the darker new note has a picture of Adam Smith on the back of it. The new note incorporates more security features and is the same size as the old note.

Do not get caught out, either use any old notes now before 30th June or change them at your local bank or Post Office

Anyone with the old style notes after the 30th June 2010 will still be able to change their notes but only at the Bank of England in London.

"My wife and I had our Wills drafted by LCS and they came to our home at a time to suit us which was really helpful. Everything was explained in clear English and we felt extremely comfortable with the service. When my wife died the LCS Ultimate Living Wills service took care of everything and without any fuss or bother. I would recommend LCS to everyone. "
